How it all came about

Hazelarmstrong.com, was founded by Quentin Lau in 2001.

I started the restoration project at the age of 19 with absolutely not a clue about restoration or mechanics as such. Throughout the process I realised that I had a profound interest in Mechanical Engineering. This eventually led to the completion of a Bachelor of Mechanical Engineering, which I started in the final year of the rebuilt. Now, 25+ years and four kids later, there's a lot less free time to spent on tinkering with old cars. However, I still love all air-cooled Volkswagens, so don't hesitate to contact me if you have any technical questions in regard to service and repair of your pride and joy.
