How it all came about

Hazelarmstrong.com, was founded by Quentin Lau in 2001.

I started the restoration project at the age of 19 with absolutely not a clue about restoration or mechanics as such. Throughout the process I gradually realised that I had a profound interest in Mechanical Engineering. This eventually led to the completion of a Bachelor of Mechanical Engineering, which I started in the final year of the rebuilt. Now, 15+ years and four kids later there's a lot less free time to spent on tinkering with old cars. However, I still love my air-cooled Volkswagens, so don't hesitate to contact me if you have any technical questions.
