Personally, I am not a big fan of naming objects. Unfortunately, reality seems that there is no way around it. Hazel Armstrong is not my name, but the name of our Kombi. Having a Kombi with both a first and a last name seems a bit awkward, so let me explain: we found bucket loads of hazel nuts during the first clean out of the van, hence the name "Hazel". She must have provided shelter to a diversity of rodents that kept their winter supply of food in the loading bay.
The last name "Armstrong" has a slightly less self-evident explanation: inside the van we found a wrapping of cigarette rolling paper, the inside of the wrapping showed a picture of some fishes with their Latin name "Hyphessobrycon Armstrongi"
